Interested in renting equipment?
CUTV offers a large catalogue of audio and video equipment, including cameras, microphones, lights, and much much more!
Equipment can be rented for up to a week, with the option to extend your reservation if enough notice is given. We offer free rentals to student members and select items at a small fee for community members.

You may rent 1 camera body at one time, and 2 lenses. Generally, there are no other restrictions, but reservation requests may be altered if the quantity of equipment rented is significantly larger than our capacity as a small equipment depot.
Upon registering as a member, you should get an email within 4 days from our Equipment and Spaces Co-ordinator with your account credentials for equipment rental. If you have not received an email with your username and password, please reach out to equipment@cutvmontreal.org.

Our studio is equipped with a black backdrops, a green screen, and LED lights. You can also reserve additional items from our equipment inventory to use in either the studio or audio recording room.
Our audio room includes a microphone (you can choose between a Blue Yeti or a Shure SM7B from the studio), iMac (bootable in MacOS or Windows), and headphones. Both rooms are free to members with a reservation.
Seeking a quiet space to edit/ work?
CUTV members have free access to an editing suite/ coworking room. that is equipped with 3 iMacs with DaVinci Resolve installed. For access to Adobe software, please speak to a staff member. We are currently working on upgrading our computers, so stay tuned!
Reservations for the editing room are not required, but you can choose to make a reservation here. We encourage visitors to be mindful of the space and limit their time to ensure other members have equal access.
