Overview CUTV is partnering with Canadian Association of Community Television Users and Stations (CACTUS) to produce a four-month pilot of a news show covering underrepresented communities in Montreal. We are seeking to hire a journalist-coordinator to take the lead on production of this (as yet unnamed) pilot program, and conduct journalism trainings for people in Montreal’s community sector (including grassroots groups, activists and organizations). The journalist-coordinator would work in collaboration with CUTV members and staff to create and implement the pilot program, which will set the precedent and standard for future CUTV news coverage. Deadline: November 21st, 12pm About CUTV Founded in 1969, Community University Television (CUTV), based at Concordia University in Montreal, is the oldest campus-based TV station in Canada. It has over 1000 active members, and provides support, training and equipment to independent video producers, both on and off campus. The station also has a mandate to provide independent grassroots coverage of underrepresented communities, movements and social issues in Montreal. Please join us for the Annual General Meeting and Special General Meeting of CUTV on Wednesday October 28, at 6pm, online on Zoom. At the Special General Meeting, we will discuss the following proposed bylaw amendments. They address concerns that have been raised over the past months about the correct legal procedures of CUTV. At the Annual General Meeting, we will give an overview of the past nine months and elect a Board of Directors. Special General Meeting is at 6:00pm & the Annual General Meeting right after.
